Mirosoft DreamSpark Yatra (part 2) - 'Opening a door to a Dream' - The Mail from Global Program Manager DreamSpark Microsoft!

If you remember my 1st post on my experiences while organizing Microsoft DreamSpark Yatra 2010, then it'll be easy for you to understand how important this is for me - to organize DreamSpark Yatra Events. There's something I would like to share. I am not sure how, but this blog is being read across the world in more than 50+ countries with US, UK, Russia & Canada being the most frequent visitors. And somehow, Mr Scott Blackwell, the Global Program Manager of Microsoft DreamSpark and MSDN AA Program had a visit to my blog post about the DreamSpark Yatra 2010 in Ranchi.

He mailed me asking how can he help me! The title of the mail was something I cannot forget - "Opening a door to a Dream"I got that mail on 29th November 2010!

At first I thought it might be a prank. Faking e-mail accounts is no big deal. I used every bit of knowledge I had to make sure that the e-mail was authentic. Needless to say it was. Though when I mailed him back , I did not get a reply;  that mail was enough to tell me that despite people creating problems or rather Hurdles for me, the ones who should notice are noticing the hard work me and my team had put-in!

I had already planned to relaunch MSTC BIT Mesra as Microsoft Software & Technology Club India, and his mail gave me the impetus and boost that I needed. I am really grateful to Mr Scott Blackwell that he took time to read my post, and sent a mail quoting my blog post! You can imagine, that being the Global Program Manager of Microsoft DreamSpark and MSDN AA Programs how busy he would be!

And you know that we have already-
  1. Launched MSTC India.
  2. Launched Paritraan - A social Initiative
  3. Conducted Microsoft DreamSpark Yatra 2011 Ranchi.
  4. Conducted Sessions on Programming & Microsoft Technologies.
  5. Organized Microsoft DreamSpark International Programming - Practice Contest

There's much more to the list. But I don't want to spoil the surprise. Right now all I have to say is - "This is just the beginning!"
