Sachin makes 100th century. Sahin's 100th ton - a ton of tons for Tendulkar.

Sachin often proclaimed as the God of Cricket created another milestone by hitting his 100th International ton.

Sachin - the prophet!
People often mistake the term God. He's not proclaimed to be God of-course - that's pretty stupid. Rather it means that for a Cricket fan, if Cricket is religion then Sachin is God.

I would not call him God for obvious reasons, to me he is a prophet - Prophet sent by none other but God himself to teach us mortals that we can become immortals. He is God's gift to Cricket and Cricket fans.

There's a lot to learn from Sachin. He follows Spirituality so closely. It reflects in his answers. He's so successful because he is one of the few cricketers who do not play for records or money. He plays for his nation for the love of the game.

He looks upwards to thank God - a true devout. I wonder how many cricketers do this?

He immediately thanks God after he achieves any milestone. He is a true genius and has only inspired his country men. There are lots of incidences that speak of his greatness, of his humbleness and his sheer talent both as a Cricketer and as a Human Being. I will soon be writing another post about it. For now, let this sink in.

This was the master's response after the century - "It's been a tough phase for me. I started off the season batting reasonably well, i was luckless. I was not thinking about the milestone, the media started all this, where ever I went, the restaurant, room service, everyone was talking about the 100th hundred. Nobody talked about my 99 hundreds. It was slightly different, the ball was not coming onto the bat. It hasn't sunk in but I've definitely lost about 50 kilos. Doesn't matter how many hundreds you've scored, you still have to put your head down and score for the team. Dreams do come true. I had to wait for one for 22 years (the World Cup)."
Sachin plays a shot during his 100th century knock.

Sachin's actions speaks louder than his words - but still his words echo in my year every single day - "Success is a journey... during that journey, people throw stones at you and.. you convert them into milestones."

And what a milestone it has been!
