I came to know about the competition on 5th September 2017, while we were celebrating Teacher's Day in a Couple of Schools where I held a position as Education Adviser and Industry Consultant.
At around 8 PM on 8th September I realized that it was only 4 hours to the deadline. I had never participated in any MyGov Competition before. I even did not know the procedure or the exact topic of the Essay Writing Competition.
I fired up my laptop connected with 4G and tried accessing MyGov Website, but failed! The so called 4G network is totally unpredictable here in a rural area. I am currently in Saraipali - a Tehsil under Mahasamund district in Chhattisgarh. It took me a lot of tries for me to be able to create an account.
Luckily for me, the title was 'What can I do for a Clean India?'. Something I had already been doing for a long time through my training sessions and social work though eGurukul Bhaarat Mission and Paritraan - A Social Revolution. I was able to write the Essay quickly, but getting it under 250 words was a challenge.
Then came the hardest part. It required a lot of tries and something much more - which I think I am not capable of - Patience! However, somehow, I got through. Not only did it get uploaded, it also got approved. At the time of writing this article (i.e., at 20:14 IST on 9th September 2017) only 3 submissions have been approved and 12056 entries are under review. I am not sure why or how not only the essay got uploaded but it also got approved.
I know its a distance dream, but the winner is supposed to get an award directly from the Honorable Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi ( #NaMo #PMOIndia ) in New Delhi. There are State and District Level awards as well. I met the current BJP President Mr. Amit Sah once in an Airport. I really do wish to meet our #PM.
